Meet the team

We believe that at the centre of high quality early years provision is the team that work with our children and families. This starts with recruiting people that share our vision and values but we also place a large emphasis on ongoing support and training.

Katie — Founder

Katie has always been passionate about children’s early education and studied for an Early Years Education degree at Warwick University before completing her PGCE. Since becoming a teacher, Katie has taught, led and managed a range of Early Years and Primary School settings, and before setting up The Nurture Room worked as a Headteacher of a Warwickshire Primary School.

Rosie — Founder

Rosie is a qualified teacher having taught in London and Coventry, training through the Teach First programme. Before setting up The Nurture Room Rosie worked at Teach First and Ambition Institute thinking hard about how adults and children learn best and what this means for teachers. She has used this knowledge to develop national teacher training programmes for teachers new to the profession and also for those more experienced.


We have recruited a team of fantastic Early Years educators:

Rebecca — Lead Educator, The Nurture Room

Rebecca is a qualified teacher with 25 years of experience in both Primary and Early Years across a range of schools in Warwickshire. Rebecca has also had a number of roles supporting children with special educational needs in mainstream settings. She is particularly passionate about making learning fun and exciting for our youngest children in society.

Lynne — Early Years Educator, The Nurture Room

Lynne was an Early Years Practitioner at Warwick District Children's Centres, where she gained her Early Years qualifications and valuable experience working in their nurseries and planning and providing services to support children and families. She joined The Nurture Room at the very beginning where she continues her passion for supporting children at this key stage of development to flourish and grow.

Louise — Early Years Educator, The Nurture Room

Louise trained as a Primary School teacher at Nottingham University gaining a B.Ed. degree. She has taught in various Primary School settings teaching children from Reception to Year 6 and, in recent times, working with Early Years.

Louise is married with two grown-up daughters and four young grandchildren.

Moira — Early Years Educator, The Nurture Room

Moira is a qualified teacher initially teaching in an infant school in Warwick. Her family then moved to Chicago where she worked in Early Years outdoor education for Chicago Botanic Gardens. Since returning to the UK, Moira has worked as a preschool teacher in Warwickshire and now as an Early Years Educator at The Nurture Room.

Jessica — Early Years Educator, The Nurture Room

Jess went to Northampton University where she studied Primary Education. Jess then worked in a Primary school teaching Year 1 for a couple of years. Following this, wanting to experience teaching younger children, she started working at a nursery initially in the preschool room. Over time, Jess gained experience in the baby room too. Jess loves playing a part in the development and progression of children's learning throughout the early years of their life.

Mary — Early Years Educator, The Nurture Room

Mary started working at her local nursery when returning to work after caring for her own 4 children. Mary moved to the Revel School and worked as an Learning Support Assistant in the Reception Class for 15 years. Mary has also supported a range of children with Special Educational Needs in both nursery and reception. Mary loves cooking with the children and supporting them in art projects and crafts.
